Came here and thought it was going to be a good experience because of the good reviews. Now I am very disappointed and I am not sure if I got ripped off. it is relatively expensive to get stuff done here in my opinion in comparison to other places and i paid a lot for what i could have gotten done somewhere else

Incredible experience. I came here due to an emergency with my retainer. They fixed it up and gave me a 50% discount because they said it was just a case of cleaning it, adding new adhesive and sealing it in. I was in and out in a flash. Great customer service, awesome staff. A+

I have been coming to Torrey pines dental arts for several years now and everyone is so friendly. Dr. Horne is very caring, took care of root canals as well as other tooth issues I have had. They even recommended a specialist when my old tooth started giving trouble again. And of course, Nancy!! She is the best. My teeth are so much cleaner now and she has "nudged" me into developing regular flossing! :)

Since my first visit, I have been impressed with the overall office atmosphere, it's organization, and the competent and welcoming staff! Dr. Sherman is a genuinely warm person with so much experience behind that great smile. I have had a huge amount of work in the past so I could really appreciate his evaluation of my problem. He gave money saving options and was honest. Other dentists have always over recommended so I was impressed. The new periodontist is excellent and all the assistants are pleasant and very capable. My periodontal cleaning technician has given one of the best treatments ever. I like going to this type of office located in a medical complex, it feels more professional and definitely worth the small parking fee (paid in part by the dentist). As I mentioned above, I've had many dentists and Torrey Pines Dental Arts is by far the best experience of them all!

I really liked how this practice works. Gentle and thorough hygienist. The doctor explained what he found and what is the treatment plan and why. The admin and the doctor know exactly what my insurance would pay for, and were aware of out-of pocket costs.

5 starts, I even moved 3 hours from La Jolla and I prefer going back to them. I have been going since 2008. They are honest, caring, and always have a solution . I have gone to other dentists, and they are always trying to oversell me scaling and other suff. These guys are superb. And if you are an International student or come from another country (I went while in UCSD), I recommend them with my eyes closed. They offered me the same or better quality, I was accostumed

Had Amy for a deep cleaning procedure. She was so professional and efficient. I am really happy that the procedure went well.

Last time I went to the dentist was nearly junior high, I am now 29. This whole staff welcomed me in with such a relaxed vibe, it was not stressful at all. I could tell how caring the lady was during the teeth cleaning. Dr Sherman was professional and straight to the point which is what I appreciate. The front desk was also a very good experience. Very very happy with place. In my younger, more immature, days I took considerable time off from visiting a dentist. I chose TPDA when I wised up and could not be happier with my decision. They welcomed me and never once made me feel like an idiot, which I was, for abdicating my flossing responsibilities for so long. They took great care of me and within 2 years they helped me get all of my measurements back into good territory. I previously would have "losing teeth nightmares" somewhat routinely, but not now. I highly encourage anyone that is looking for a new dentist to go see the friendly folks at Torrey Pines Dental Arts.

Had my first appointment today.. from the moment I walked in I was greeted by the front desk, Richard who walked me thru the registration process. Very ease ! Then I waited about 10 minutes before I was called in... started my xrays and then had my cleaning. Niccila was my hygienist .... she was gentle and thorough at the same time. One of the best experiences I have ever had a Dentist office. Look forward to meeting Dr. Sherman soon and continuing a long relationship with this practice!

I have been going to this dentist office for several years now, so I know the drill. Womp, womp. :/ Actually, I love coming here! Dr. Sherman's team always makes me feel at ease and I always feel taken care of. I always receive a thorough explanation of any procedures being done as well as the breakdown of any costs. Nancy, my hygienist always does a fantastic job getting in those nooks and crannies. Everyone seems to be really pleasant here which makes for a comfortable environment!

I have found a dental office that is a partner in my dental health. No one really likes going to the dentist, but when I walk into this practice, I feel like I am greeting a family. All of the staff works very well together and they treat you as a person verses a "mouth" of teeth for them to examine. I have never felt more confident in my dental health, whether my teeth are poor or in good shape before my cleanings and I always leave their practice knowing I am in wonderful hands. On a consumer review, they always have appointments when I need them, the office is very clean and inviting, they never try to "sell" me something I do not need like other dentists are notorious for and I have never had billing issues. Their staff is also very responsive to email communication which for me is a plus. Overall, A++++

Dr. Sherman is the best!!! Where else you can find the dentist that is listening to what your needs are? He's always made me comfortable in that CHAIR, he has miracle hands to created an art work for my teeth, even though my dental plan is out of his network and I have to pay in full to visit him. I am very confidence in Dr. Richard Sherman and his staff, I highly recommend to all my friends and family. 10 STARS for Dr. Sherman 10 STARS for staff :D
