Dr. Charles Briscoe has more than 32 years of experience in general and cosmetic dentistry. A leading San Diego dentist, Dr. Briscoe is a graduate of UC Davis and Georgetown University School of Dentistry. He has received extensive advanced restorative dentistry training from the Misch International Implant and L.D. Pankey Institutes, and advanced cosmetic training from the Las Vegas Institute for Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Briscoe is a Fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists—the largest provider of dental implant education in the word. He and his assistants have received training in sedation dentistry through the National Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation. For the past several years, he has been voted by his peers as one of the ‘Top Dentists’ in San Diego and La Jolla.

I've been coming to La Jolla Dental Care for 3+ years and have nothing but great things to say. Love Dr. Briscoes office. Youll never find another full Service Dentist office that takes the time to get to know you as a patient. They are always extremely thorough with their cleanings and extra gentle. They will even provide numbing if you are extra sensitive. Cannot day enough about Dr. Briscoe and their staff.

I have found Dr. Briscoe to be both patient and skilled. There isn't a visit where my needs don't throw him a curveball (Lidocaine doesn't work on me for instance)and he always hits it out of the park with his ability to listen and adapt and find an excellent workable answer. He also has THE ONE THING I look for in a dentist, he truly cares that I'm comfortable and that the work is finished to perfection. His staff is very caring and professional as well. The office is very pleasant. There really are no negatives, and I'm pretty fussy and I expect a lot! ;) He even calls me at the end of the day after a procedure has been done earlier to see how I'm doing. He is the kind of dentist I would travel a long distance to go to. If you try him, you will not be disappointed!

It isn't easy to review a dentist in a meaningful way. Mouths are intensely personal, private, and painful. Nowhere else is one's personal hygiene - or lack thereof - exposed so completely. In addition, the treatment of dental work by insurance companies (which is comparable to that of elective/cosmetic surgeries) compounds the matter by fostering resentment when any dental work is recommended. The lack of trust many people have for dentists is comparable to the (lack of) trust many people have for auto mechanics. If you've been interacting with dentists much like the way you interact with auto mechanics, then this review is for you. I trust Dr. Briscoe and his staff. That's not something I can say about any previous dentist and I think that's all it really boils down to.

The best experience I've ever had with a dentist. Dr Briscoe completed veneers and I've received compliments from everyone I meet including my current dentist who proclaimed they were the best veneers he had ever seen. Always recommend friends to go to Dr Briscoe if they need cosmetic work done.

They were so friendly and professional! I truly look forward to seeing them again..not to mention how amazing the office smelled...like roses. And the first thing the staff asked me was, if I wanted coffee or tea. How kind! And dr Brisco was very thorough while examining my teeth, I actually understood what he was doing.

My experience here was awesome. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by two very kind ladies. As this was my first time here i was given a tour and met most if not all the staff. The office was nice and spacious, and the staff was super friendly. Dr. Briscoe was very friendly, as soon as he walked into the room i was greeted with a smile. He is a great dentist and i will be recommend him to everyone.

I was in a bind when I called Dr. Briscoe I recently left my last dentist, due to undisclosed reasons. I chipped a tooth while eating at a Sharky's in downtown SD, and I needed a quick fix. I called around a few places, and read a few reviews, and decided to go with Dr. Briscoe His staff were quick and nice, and he did a great job. I ended up getting a veneer, and I'm very pleased with it. It ended up looking better then my original tooth. I am now scheduled to see him for my bi -annual cleaning. I would recommend him to my grandmother.

Dr. Briscoe and his team are wonderful! I needed a veneer on one of my front teeth, which is very difficult to match the coloring/sizing of the other existing front teeth. After many visits to other dentists, I knew the first visit to Dr. Briscoe that he was very knowledgable and confident he could achieve the look I wanted. They did such a great job. Twenty-four hours before a planned Yosemite camping trip, my floss caught the edge of an old filling and tore it loose. So we all know how Murphy operates....no doubt this was going to cause me drama while camping and last time I checked, not much in the way of dental infrastructure in Yosemite Valley. I stopped by Dr. Briscoe's office at 7:30 on a Friday morning with the assumption that I would have to endure either a temporary fix, or come back later that day depending on how the dental office schedule panned out. Despite the lack of notice, Dr. Briscoe dropped everything, suited-up, got me in the chair within 10 minutes, worked his dental magic, and had me fixed-up and rolling to work by 8:30. Super appreciative of Dr. Briscoe and his associates seeing and sorting me out with essentially no notice. Nice to know there are still dedicated medical folks out there like Dr. Briscoe.

Great dentist, my local favorite. Dr Briscoe is very gentle and soft spoken. His office staff especially Madeline is very nice, and he does great veneers and cosmetic work. Pricing especially for cosmetic dentistry is comparable to others in town (and somewhat negotiable), and he's done veneers for 20+ years-- he's doing 8 of mine next week after I shopped around.

June and Carol are truly amazing. My cleaning was taking longer than I expected (new cavity) and Carol moved my car for me so I wouldn't get a parking ticket!! So nice. June calls me the minute my insurance checks come back for my Invisalign. She made sure my insurance covered Invisalign and set up a great payment plan. Dr. Briscoe is a fantastic dentist. The reason they only get 5 starts is because I couldn't give them 6 (or 10 that they deserved!) My girlfriend and I had just returned from Las Vegas (her hometown) where she received a temporary crown on that Thursday from her prior dentist...On Saturday at 3 pm, while eating lunch in La Jolla the crown fell off! Needless to say we were desperate for a fix but figured on a Saturday we would be out of luck...I tried to call a personal dentist friend of mine in Newport Beach but no answer....a quick Google search turned up Dr. Briscoes's office - literally 1000 feet away from where we were eating....they answered the phone (SATURDAY!!!) and got us in immediately. They treated my girlfriend with great care and did a spectacular job of re-attaching her crown. I not only expected a charge but perhaps an emergency fee as we did it last minute (which I would have gladly paid). They were extremely gracious and said that no payment was necessary...I really couldn't believe it. Would I recommend this dentist and staff--oh HELL yeah! The care and quality of the facility and staff is clear from the moment you walk in. If I lived nearby, this would definitely be my family dentist. My daughter lives in Ocean Beach and I have told her the story and she plans to make a visit for a checkup soon. Thank you again Dr. Briscoe and staff! You really saved the day (and weekend) for us during our visit. God Bless.
