Dr. Dankworth and his staff are excellent! Highly recommend to anyone anxious about dental work. Also, Jessica is an amazing hygienist!!!

First time here and the staff and Dr. Dankworth were awesome. Fully explained everything and were great with my care. I finally found my new dentist after some previous bad experiences. Office was very clean and professional. Laura at the front desk was great and explained everything thoroughly.

Doctor Dankworth's and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They are very patient and gentle. It takes the fear out of going to the dentist. They also offer sedation if you have to have some procedure your worries about. It is pain free and my son didn't even realize he had the procedure done.

My boyfriend bought a groupon for me to here because I had not seen a dentist in a really long time. I ended up getting late to my appt since I am driving from La Jolla and did not expect as much morning traffic as there was (also some drywall fell off a truck into the freeway so it slowed it down a fair amount). I was a little late but luckily they managed to fit me in for my full appt. Everyone was super friendly, the office was very clean and they had very up to date technology. I was surprised that overall, my teeth are looking pretty good. I had a few cavities... although, some where ones that just need to be redone because they were done a very long time ago. I felt comfortable trusting them... although, the other review on here freaked me out and made me want to just get a second opinion. But overall, I feel like they are pretty trustworthy. They were not trying to sell me on anything, or pushing any urgency to get cavities done. I'm sure I must have a few cavities and they seemed like a really nice, knowledgeable office. I edited my review down to a 4 star from a 5 star... things just seem a little fishy. So, get a second opinion just to be safe. :)

The entire staff has been amazing. They are very helpful! My dentist Dr. Dankworth has been amazing in trying to treat my TMJ issues.

Great dental experience! My hygienist Laura took her time and thoroughly cleaned my teeth! What I especially appreciated was her knowledge and helpfulness in answering all my questions regarding home care for teeth and gums. She suggested I use a special oral rinse and also purchase the WaterPik to add to my flossing routine. My exam with Dr. Corrigan was the most thorough I've ever had and she answered all my questions as well. Her assistant who did the X-rays and photos of my teeth was also very informed and friendly. Overall it was a great experience and I'm looking forward to getting my oral health back on track!

These guys are the business. I needed an impacted wisdom tooth cut out, they got me right in, kindly assessed the situation, and expertly removed the tooth. They've got great facilities and great attitudes. I highly recommend La Costa Dental Excellence. They gave me my tooth to go in a nice little box, but my angry girlfriend threw it down the toilet when we got home to get back at me for tormenting her with this satanic-sound-effects-stuffed-toy-frog.

The first time I came to Dr. Corrigan, she spent a good deal of time explaining everything to me. Not a lot of doctors spend that much time with you and I really felt like they weren't just rushing me out. Seeing how patient they were with me made me feel comfortable bringing in my 4 year old in for a visit. When I brought my 4 year old son in they were just amazing with him. They made him feel comfortable and he did great with them. They were super patient. I come here regularly and Jessica is one of the best hygienist. She's very gentle, you can't tell she's working on you! You know she works on her techniques and try to make sure her patients are not in pain. I've had plenty of cleanings in my life and she's definitely one of the best. The staff are really friendly, the place is modern, with new technology. You don't ever have a wait around for your appointment. I would highly recommend this place.

I have been going to La Costa Dental Excellence for several years. I give them an enthusiastic five stars. The staff is kind, yet professional. They schedule appropriately so I never have had to wait. Dr. Dankworth has kept my oral health in top shape. I love my hygienist, Jessica. She is kind and caring. She is gentle, but thorough. It is obvious that she really cares about the oral health of her patients. I, my daughter and my granddaughter all go to her so she cares for three generations of our family. My husband and my son-in-law also go to her. I cannot imagine anyone not liking Jessica, she is the best.

This is our fav dental place by far. Unfortunately we can had to switch dentists due to insurance reasons. However, once we got PPO we switched right back. My kids feel the most comfortable here and the fear of dentist is gone.

Hands down the best dentist I have ever been to in my life! All of the staff is extremely professional and well trained. Appointments are handled in a timely manner, both doctors are very very good at what they do. Couldn't give this place enough stars!! I drive quite a while to get here because I know I am treated very well and taken care of here better than anywhere else I could go.

10/10 would recommend this office to anyone looking for a professional, clean, welcoming environment to get their dental work done.

Another fabulous experience at La Costa Dental Excellence! The staff is professional and amazing!

First time here. Felt very helped with sincere attention by hygienist Laura H and staff.

The front desk staff were very friendly the moment I walked in the door. I had to fill out new client paperwork, but I was able to finish this once they took me back to get my x-rays taken. The x-ray technician was very friendly and made the tedious x-ray process as enjoyable as it could be. My hygienist was Laura and she was amazing! Super friendly and talked to me throughout my cleaning. She offered me a pillow to make myself more comfortable, and frequently checked in to ask how I was doing. I went in with some pretty bad coffee stains since I was a few months overdue on my cleaning as I was waiting for my new dental insurance to kick in. She used a special baking powder formula to help remove the stains, and they looked good as new once she was finished! Dr. Corrigan-Dankworth was very friendly and I could immediately tell that she cares about her patients. She made friendly conversation, and recommended some sealant but didn't push it so I could wait to get my finances in order. Parking can get a little crowded since it is in a small shopping center. The office is easy to find. The office is very clean and spacious. I highly recommend La Costa Dental Excellence!

La Costa Dental is an amazing facility, from day one they have been nothing but helpful and accommodating. I've had such awful experiences with orthodontists in the past at other locations so I was initially afraid and avoided the dentist but the minute I walked in I was reassured that I would be taken care of. I am in the process of getting Invisalign treatment and gum treatment at La Costa Dental Excellence and so far I am extremely happy with my results. Dr. Corrigan and staff are always so welcoming, always making sure I'm comfortable at all times. I can officially say I am not afraid of the dentist and I will 100% recommend this facility to anyone and everyone!

Ladies, looking for lip injections? Dr Dankworth is my hero! My mom works for a plastic surgeon in New York and after having my lips done by her doctor last summer, while in town, I knew it was something I couldn't ever live without. The only problem is -OUCH!!!!!! My pain tolerance didn't make that a viable option. I knew if I wanted to keep them maintained I would need to find a doctor here in San Diego who could offer novocaine injections prior. I did a little research and after careful consideration I decided to give La Costa Dental Excellence a try. First off the staff is wonderful. When I walked in the girls were so sweet. They offered me refreshments and we chatted a little while I filled in my paperwork. Immediately after I finished the forms, they called me back. Dr Dankworth came in shortly after and introduced himself. He is so kind and extremely knowledgable. We did a very thorough consultation which put me at ease. I felt he knew exactly what I wanted, and I knew exactly what to expect. Once we both felt we were on the same page he started to recline my chair. That's when the anxiety and adrenalin kicked in. For those of you who have never had injections it's definitely no walk in the park. Something you hate to get but love to have. Then, the funniest thing happened. We started the process and while confessing my fear of the novocaine injections, Dr D had already given it to me. Literally I didn't even realize he had started. I guess it's safe to say he's light handed! I really have no idea how many novocaine injections he gave me or what he was even doing in there. All I know is 10 minutes later, we were ready to start the juvederm. P-A-I-N -- F-R-E-E. Dr D did his thing and during the process I could tell he really wanted them to look good. He took his time while his sweet nurse Tonya held my hand. They both kept assuring me they were looking great. They handed me the mirror and man-o-man, they were right! They were even BETTER then the first time in New York (and my mom agrees!). The few days to follow I had some swelling and a little bruising which was to be expected. I'm now awaiting my post appointment which is next week. I'm confident he'll be happy with the results. They're perfect. I couldn't be happier with my experience. They say the juvederm lasts up to a year. And it should for a price tag of $575! But hey! you get what you pay for and this place is definitely worth it!

Jessica is an excellent dental hygienist. I have never had someone pay so much attention to my teeth. She is extremely detail and thorough. She uses a state-of-the-art laser to seal the gums and eliminate bacteria. My teeth have never been so clean, She is always welcoming and patient; I always enjoy going in and trust her completely. She's the best out there. I would recommend her highly to anyone.
