Can you imagine going to the dentist and enjoy yourself? I did on my visit to Gentle Dentistry. The hygienist Laura was supper friendly and did a thorough exam, my teeth felt smooth and pearly. Dr. Maggie Abadan did a great job on my root canal. She was very nice and very patient with me due to my nervousness when visiting dentist's to have dental work performed. The root canal I had done was so much better than a root canal at a previous different dental office. She took the extra time to make sure I was numb from the anesthesia before doing my root canal and checked to make sure I was doing okay during the procedure. I will be going back to Dr. Abadan's office for more dental work which needs to be done

I was recommended to see Dr. Abadan for the cavity, which has infected my molar tooth in my lower right quadrant. My previous general dentist and my specialist both recommended extraction. They said that since the cavity has hit the root of my tooth ( rare cavity location), there was no way to save the tooth. Since I had already lost my other two molars due to my chronic periodontal disease, I really liked to save my tooth this time. So, I made an appointment with Dr. Abadan. Professionalism of Dr. Abadan's office started from the time I entered their office until the outstanding dental care was completed on me. Although this office is supposed to be a general dental office, their equipment, image processing expertise, and overall knowledge, for example, on periodontics would certainly qualify them as specialist dental office. To prove my point, I wish I could attach here some of their professional images and x-rays of my tooth. The level of patient education and explanation is unprecedented and I can not even compare with my the work of my periodontist, who is a prominent specialist and a lecturer at USC. While displaying live video of my teeth and gums on the screen, Dr Abadan described and discovered issues with the health of my mouth, which none of the my previous general and specialist dentists were able to spot and / or explain to me convincingly. During the second appointment and before installing the crown, Dr Abadan displayed x-rays and live video of my tooth. Only then I figured out why my other dentists were reluctant to go through the process of saving my tooth. Dr. Abadan performed root canal and pre-crowning preparation of my tooth, while only a small potion of my tooth has been remained unaffected by the cavity. Since the procedure was so painless and stress-free, I was able to sleep during most of the two- session procedure ! After crowning, she meticulously spent so much time to fine adjust my bite with the new crown. After she completed the work, I felt as if nothing has changed in my mouth, except the cavity had been disappeared. I chose 5 star grade for Gentle Dentistry since I was completely unable to find any flaw in their service and because their care way exceeded my expectation. After I came out of Dr. Abadan's office I truly felt the truth in her moto: "I take care of you the same way I take care of my own family." I am certain that Dr. Abadan took care of me the same way she treats her own family. Thank you so much Gentle Dentistry.

This has been the best dentist Ive ever been to hands down! I came in as a new patient and had to get a root canal and I have severe anxiety with the dentist. The ladies here were so patient and kind and helped ease my anxiety with essential oils and calming blankets. It was unlike any other dentist Ive been to and they made me feel very comfortable. The root canal was easier than others Ive had done and the results have been great!!

I came to Dr. Maggie to discuss my smile because I didnt like the way my gums showed excessively when I smiled and I always wondered if there was a way to fix it. When I had my consultation with Dr. Maggie, she discussed with me my options and how laser gum contouring would be a great option for me. She assured me that it would be painless because I would be numb and the healing process would be a breeze. I asked if I could get the procedure done the same day and they managed to make it work for me. The procedure was completely painless and quite fast! I was surprised how short of an appointment it was with such amazing results. They handed me a mirror so I could see the results, and immediately I felt a rush of emotions because I was so thankful. From the front office to the doctor and her assistants, everyone was so caring and genuine and wanted the best for me. I absolutely love the way my gums look now and cant stop smiling. I received a phone call from the front office staff the following day to check up on me and I really appreciated the follow up from them. I can not believe the difference the gum contouring made! It has been about a week now and my gums are completely healed. I cannot stop smiling and I have Gentle Dentistry to thank! I highly recommend this office to anyone who is looking for a honest, caring, and professional dental office because that is exactly what they are.

At Gentle Dentistry, I got the highest quality of dental work I have had in a while. I had two root canals and both went smoothly with little to no pain at all. Suzana greets me with a smile and pleasantries every visit. She maintains a mellow reception area with cheerful music at a comfortable level of volume. The hygienist, Laura, was amazingly patient and gentle during my procedures. In the past, I have experienced anxiety when I Would need to see a dentist. Often times just avoiding it all together. After explaining this to her, she knew exactly how to help me relax. By my 2nd visit I had none of the usual feelings of anxiety I had in the past. Love these ladies! They worked me in last minute one morning when I had an emergency, was cranky, and in major pain. I was so thankful for their help and understanding of my situation, I sent them a Christmas card. The entire staff is so friendly and social! They care about the lives of their clients, not just our teeth. The office goes out of their way to provide late day appointments for those of us who have difficult work schedules as well. Courses of treatment are laid out clearly in terms of actual procedures needed, as well as costs, and discounts are even given for pre-paying for services. Dr. Abadan is very skilled at what she does, explains procedures throughly, and uses top quality materials as well. After seeing Dr. Abadan recently, I have become extremely aware of the high quality work she provides, and especially in comparison to my previous dentist!

Gentle Dentistry is amazing. I was so taken care of. Laura, the hygienist, did a perfect job. She listened to my request for an additional wash/rinse and helped me until my mouth felt spotless. Hadeel, the dental assistant, was so kind and so thorough with her work. Dr. Abadan heard me out when I asked for my teeth to be sanded down and evened out (my previous dentist wouldnt do that for me - she said I had to go to an orthodontist). The office staff was incredibly friendly, the office was clean everything was so, so pleasant (a big deal for a dentist visit)!

I had Invisalign (adjustment of bite) treatment with Dr. Abad an and am very happy with the results. My bite was so bad and I could not believe that Dr Maggie was able to achieve such improvement as she did in my case. She also fixed my other dental concerns. I needed a few crowns as well, full porcelain crowns. Her work is so detailed and her hand is very gentle. She explains everything very clearly, why certain procedures need to be done and what the effect will be. I also had my night guard done by Dr. Maggie and it fits perfectly. I don't break my teeth as a result of grinding anymore. Dr. Abad an is a great advocate of preventing and treating gum disease. My overall gum condition has improved a lot, no more bleeding and deep pockets. I highly recommend visiting the Gentle Dentistry Team, all of the staff is very professional and you do feel that they sincerely care you.

Dr. Abadan is the best dentist hands down with such an amazing staff. I got a root canal done by Dr. Abadan and it was such a fast and pain free experience . The office is very clean and well kept. All the staff members are very professional and kind which I really appreciated especially being a little nervous going into the dentist office. My experience: I had scheduled an appointment with Dr. Abadan for a full exam because I figured it was time I see a dentist again since it's been a few years. She told me I had an abscess and that I needed a root canal to save my tooth. At that moment I felt a little nervous hearing that especially since I didn't even know I had an abscess. She immediately calmed me and went into great detail explaining to me exactly what an abscess is and why I needed to get a root canal. She also explained to me why I didn't know I had an abscess and went through all the stages of it and how its definitely been there for at least a year and I've subconsciously been avoiding that area in my mouth. She explained to me the procedure and even made me laugh which is always a great thing in a dental office. I really felt like she cared about my health as if I was her own daughter or sister. I knew I was in good hands. That same day the hygienist Laura cleaned my teeth on my first visit there and she really made the experience even more enjoyable. I believe it's really important to like the hygienist at the dentist office and Laura was so friendly and bubbly which is exactly what I want in a hygienist. I really enjoyed chatting with her and look forward to visiting her for my future regular teeth cleanings. At the end of my visit, I was walked to the front office which is where they sat me down and discussed with me my finance options to get my root canal procedure done. They explained to me how much my insurance would cover and how much I would be paying out of pocket and everything was explained so crystal clear. I really felt like I could trust them and felt so excited to schedule my appointment. The following day is when I came back to have my root canal done and the procedure was so easy and painless I couldn't believe it. I have always heard horror stories about root canal procedures but Dr. Abadan insured me I had nothing to worry about and that all of her patients have always said they enjoyed the procedure and that it was painless. The staff was great and even gave me a blanket, a neck roll, some oil treatment, and headphones. I almost felt like I was at the spa!! Gentle Dentistry is the best of the best. From checking in, getting my x-rays taken, my teeth cleaned, my full exam with the dr.. I always felt at ease and everything was painless. Thank you so much Gentle Dentistry! I'll be seeing you soon for my regular checkups!

The receptionists are really nice and thoughtful. She gave me headphones and essential oils to relax before I had 2 crowns and a root canal. Dr. Maggie is awesome!! This is the most dishonest misleading dentistry office I encountered. First, they try to upsale you exuberantly priced unnecessary services then when you refuse to go with it. They offer you a deep cleaning and then they pretend to check with your insurance a coverage, then they show you a low copay so you agree to go ahead. After you get off the chair they present you with a triple of the cost on the premise the insurance doesn't cover actually. What a sneaky marketing trick. Very dishonest! Can they not be just upfront. After that you try to discuss with them regarding possible payment plan they just hang up. Wow! Just wow!

I was in need of a deep teeth cleaning on short notice while I was home between business trips. My usual dentist was unavailable, but Gentle Dentistry had an opening on their schedule that morning when I phoned them. When I arrived the staff showed me in writing that my copay for the visit would be $200.00 and my insurance would cover the rest. I agreed, and I went into the office for a two hour session with the dental hygienist. I came out of the session with a mouth full of Novocain masking my discomfort. When I went to pay I was given a bill for $604.00! I said there must be some mistake, you clearly showed me in writing $200.00 before I went in. My head was too befuddled from my procedure to dispute with them. My wife and I both attempted to contact Gentle Dentistry numerous times, and they refused to discuss claiming they had other patients waiting and never returned our calls. This is a variation of Bait and Switch, and I am very displeased how I was misled by Gentle Dentistry staff regarding my out of pocket cost for the procedure. When I was handed the written estimate they said they had already cleared this with my insurance company. Instead I was forced to pay three times more than what I had been originally told I would have to pay. Merry Christmas to my children, the budget is blown. I would not have agreed to pay $600.00 beforehand for this procedure

Insurance changed this year so had to find a new dentist. We were assigned Gentle Dentistry so off I went. I just finished a follow-up appointment, so I feel I've had two good experiences in the office. Pros - very nice staff and dentist. Everyone of them super friendly. My hygienist did a great job on all aspects of cleaning. The dentist went over some things she felt I could use in addition, that I opted out of. Billing was spot on with my insurance, and they were happy to answer my questions about insurance (which checked out). Little to no wait time int he lobby. Office super clean. Cons - be ready for the "up-sell" and don't be afraid to say I'll check that out and get back to you. Nothing's an emergency in a dental office (well, almost nothing). My thought is that this is a stand-alone dentist with all the latest equipment and she's got to use it to pay for it. I'm sure in some instances it's needed, but not in my case. I politely declined all extra recommendations and went home and did a little homework to make sure I made the right choices. And last: do not confuse this office with the "Gentle Dentist" franchises. Not the same - way better, cleaner, nicer people here, etc.

My family has been coming to Dr Abadan for ten years. The office is warm and inviting. The front office staff is wonderful, Myra and Suzanna are very cordial and helpful. The hygienist are gentle and thorough. The doctor is great and explains what is happening with your teeth and gums and why and various options to go forward with. They don't recommend procedures unless required, unlike a lot of offices.

I always schedule follow up visits when I finish my current visit and I can always count on Myra to call and remind me. Either Myra will call and remind me but they also use text message reminders about a week in advance to confirm appointments - this is very helpful to someone who sometimes forgets about appointments. The hygienists are great, full of conversation and I always leave happy with smooth and clean teeth. Dr Abadan is the best. She takes care of mine and my daughter's teeth. I never feel pressured and better yet I always feel that I can trust the advice she gives me. All around this is a great office for complete dental care!! I recommend it to all of my friends in the area.

I initially came to this dental office just to get a second opinion, but had such a great experience I have become a return patient! Everyone at the office is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. They are able to work with my budget and very difficult schedule. Dr. Abadan is extremely professional, has a warm personality and provides dental care with exceptional competency. I have been very impressed with the way both she (Dr. Abadan) and the dental hygeinist (Laura) address my concerns. They take the time to give me a very clear understanding of exactly what my dental problems are, what that means, and what my treatment options are. I also love that they talk me through each step as they are doing my exams! They even taught me some basic brushing and flossing techniques that somehow I missed over the years. Who knew I could have been flossing better all these years and maybe prevented some of the dental problems I face now! Have had nothing but great encounters here. Highly recommend!

I've been going to Gentle Dentistry since 2009, and am very happy with their dental care. Dr. Abadan and the ladies who run this office are very friendly and professional. And they live up to their name - they have always been very gentle with my teeth, and my teeth never hurt afterwards. One of the things I've appreciated from this office is that are always offering me so many helpful tips to improve my dental health - for example, that since I am right handed, I need to brush "extra" on the left side because it receives less attention. They recently suggested I switch to an extra soft toothbrush (from medium), and I've noticed a huge improvement in how clean my teeth look and feel. And at my last visit, Dr. Abadan showed me the correct way to floss my teeth - I've been doing it wrong!

I had an emergency and needed 2 teeth extractions, their schedule was completely full (due to it being the Monday after Thanksgiving), but they got me in right away and took such great care of me. I came in after 5 years of having not gone to a dentist and, while I did need some expensive work done, it wasn't a money grab as I've heard some other dentists try. The reason the work was necessary was explained clearly, with references to my x-rays and other pictures so I knew exactly what was going on. Custom service has always been amazing as well.

I have been going to Dr. Abadan for years now. The office staff is always professional and courteous. Dr. Abadan herself is a warm, kind-hearted person. If the filling doesn't fit right away, they will get the problem solved. I have a high tolerance to Novocaine, so they work as quickly as they can to get things taken care of. One time, it took me a longer time to get/stay numb, and the dentist stayed with me to complete the procedure even though her hygienist had to leave. Really happy with them.

When I first came to the Gentle Dentistry office in 2014, I needed extensive dental work. After a very thorough exam, Dr. Abadan clearly and patiently explained all the possible treatment options she would recommend. I had previously gone to another dentist who was rather indifferent to my concerns about pain and the expense of the treatment. My experience has been the exact opposite with the whole Gentle Dentistry staff. They are friendly, considerate and very competent, worthy of five stars. Last year I moved to Carlsbad and though I now live fourteen miles further away, it is definitely worth the drive to continue to have Dr. Abadan as my dentist. I highly recommend her.

I've been going to see Dr. Abadan for about 8 or 9 years now & am unfortunately just now getting around to writing a review of my experiences with her office. First, Dr. Abadan is fantastic. She always takes time to answer questions (I tend to have a lot) & address any concerns I might have for my treatment plan. She never seems to be in a hurry to be with another patient or tending to something other than me when I'm there. She's done two crowns, several replacement fillings & other procedures over the years, & I don't once remember being in any pain. Obviously I've seen a few different hygienists for my cleanings in that period of time. I was actually in just last night for a cleaning & was - yet again - amazed at how little pain I had to endure. I'm in my 40s, eat & drink many things that stain my teeth, yet remain on a 6 month schedule instead of 3 or 4, as I should be. My cleanings aren't brief or easy, & I've almost come to expect discomfort when I have them. But honestly, I never do. Lastly, the reception & billing people are always extremely pleasant & helpful. They communicate via text & phone to remind of upcoming appointments, when an appointment is overdue, & are great at answering insurance-related questions or detailing treatment plans. I'm sure I could go on, but if you're looking for a great dentistry office with genuinely nice people who take the time to help, I don't think you could do better

I have never had a health care provider speak so condescendingly to me as I did when I went to this office last week. I am a dental hygienist myself, currently a stay at home mom. I have been coming to this office for about a year, because it's one of the only offices who accepts our insurance, but up until now have received decent enough care. Dr. Abadan spoke down to me about my care options, and made me feel like an idiot. Why not speak nicely to your patients and fully explain their options in a caring way?

This seems like nothing but a money grab. they wanted to do at least $3,000+ of work on my teeth. It smelled suspicious, so I never went back. A week later I went another dentist and it turns out I had 3 cavities, not great, but I certainly didn't pay $3000. As a sidenote, the hygienist was very nice and friendly, but the doctor looked at me, talked to me and treated me like a cash cow. 0/10, Wont be going back.

I initially came to Dr.Abadans office to collect more information about the Invisalign treatment. What was supposed to be just an information session has now become a two-year relationship with Dr. Abadan and her wonderful staff. My first visit to Gentle Dentistry I was impressed. Exam and treatment plan explained and I was back the next day to start. Referral made for future treatments and I'm on my way. Going to the dentist is not my idea of a fun day but the staff was so accommodating and nice I didn't mind. I usually have cleanings every 4 months due to existing issues but I believe I won't mind coming here. The aromatherapy was a nice touch that helped me to relax and made the time go by. Due to a change in dental insurance coverage I lucked out. My previous dentist missed a few issues that now I can get taken care of in a more relaxing atmosphere. I am happy with my ladies.

This office is so awesome! I can't imagine why people have had such bad experiences here. Everyone is SO NICE and friendly, the office looks very modern, and there's refreshments and drinks when you walk in! Wait time isn't so bad either. At other offices I've been to, the staff is very dismissive, and the doctors don't remember me. Dr. Maggie remembers all the conversations we have and cares, she always asks how my family is. The dental treatment is wonderful, painless and quick. They let me wear headphones and watch a movie, not to mention the neck warmer and blanket!! I had teeth whitening here a few months ago, and it looks great! My teeth are so beautiful and I am forever grateful for the wonderful dental care at Dr. Maggie's office

I have had only good experiences here. On my first visit, I had a full set of xrays and a thorough cleaning. The cleaning was comfortable. Since then I have had two crowns placed (one to replace an ancient crown). I know these were both necessary as two previous dentists had recommended the same procedures.

To begin, your office staff is courteous and professional. Your front office even checked to see if my insurance would cover the x-rays that I had to get re-taken because the copies from my previous dentist were too poor to read. Note that this was *while* I was in the office, *prior* to doing the service so that I wouldn't have any surprise charges. (It's sad that these things excite me. They should be standard. But as my recent experience suggests, they aren't.)

I have been seeing Dr. Maggie Abadan for years. She is very patient and kind. She diagnosed my grinding years ago and got me into an NTI, which eliminated my migraine headaches - for this I'll be eternally grateful. Her office does have a lot of upsell options, but they're just that - options. You can do them if you like, or skip them if you don't like. I like and trust Dr. Abadan. She really seems to know her stuff.
