Excellent dentist. our entire family has been seeing Dr. Fruin for over 5 years. my kids are ages 11 and 14 and are actually excited to see the dentist (go figure). highly recommend for both adults and children. the office is state-of-art new equipment and staff is excellent overall.

I HATE going to the dentist as much as anyone else. I also HATED looking for a 'new' dentist. Dr Fruin was recommended to me by a coworker whom I trust and I booked an appt. I am glad to say that he will be MY Dentist from now on. Even if I have to pay out of pocket. He's that good in my opinion and he staff is excellent. Great "chairside" manner. Great communication. Willing to work with me on the co-pay. If you're looking for someone that is a family oriented Dr. You've found him!

Wow! I no longer fear going to the dentist. Jeff is very good at making you feel comfortable and his entire staff is honest about your teeth. My last dentist, Carlsbad Open 7 Day, over-charged me (a few thousand dollars) and continually tried to up-sell more and more products that I didn't need or want. With Jeff, you're in and out. You get what you need and you get to go home. Plus, he's pretty good at telling crazy stories that keep you coming back for more. Make sure to say "Hi" to his mom, Pat. She runs the front office and she's awesome!

I know I know your thinking geez this gal dives with big sharks but she is afraid of the dentist!!! Ha ha well yes we all have our bravery and our fears. I have never ever felt so comfortable as you made me feel today. I am a lifelong patient that's for sure. Jeff I immediately relaxed when you began talking to me about diving while working on my teeth. It made me feel like the bravest little patient ever. Honestly besides your friendly personalities, honesty, and sympathy to my nervousness, it was really great to be able to talk with you about diving, oh and Leopard sharks. It really helped calm my nerves:)

I recommend Jeff for several reasons. First of all, the work is top notch. He and his staff get the job done right the first time. Then he is honest. I came to him after trying another dentist who told me I had a dozen cavities and gave me a fluoride treatment too. Yeah, turns out I only had 2 very small ones. Jeff told me he hears stories like mine every week. In addition, he's got a great new office with current technology. I'm specifically referring to digital x-rays, which are a lot less harmful. I'm sure he's up-to-date on other equipment, but thankfully I haven't been exposed to it. Finally, he is a personable guy who will tell you crazy stories as he works on you. And he usually wears a Hawaiian shirt.

I've been going to Jeff Fruin for my whole families' dental care for some years now. Today I had the unfortunate situation of having a temporary crown come off while I was flossing and it's a Saturday. First I thought I'll push the thing back in and tough it out till Monday. Then the nerves felt the air and my certainty of plan 'A' was abandoned. I called Jeff's office number and got the recording of a direct number for after hours emergencies. But I still was wrestling whether I was an emergency or not, then a nerve in my mouth said, 'Yep you qualify'. After telling Jeff my dilemma he asked if I could get to his office in 15 minutes. I did and he and his beautiful wife met me at the office door. I was fixed and on my way in about 20 minutes. It was awesome to get small town personal treatment like this. I am very thankful.

Dr Fruin does an excellent job keeping my teeth in top shape. He does all this with a super relaxed attitude reflecting his San Fernando valley orgins. I have recommended him to friends and family who also value his services.

After many year of being unhappy and overcharged for unnecessary services, our whole family now goes to Fruin. In fact, our kids love going there. Anyone I recommend to Fruin as well say he's the best around.

Jeff is incredible. Our whole family has been seeing Jeff for the last seven years. My wife and I think he is one of the best dentists we have ever seen. My 12 & 13 yr old daughters have been seeing him since they were 5 & 6 and absolutely love him. Jeff has gained their confidence & performed some dental procedures that would have caused them to dart out of any other dentist's chair. He has a great sense of humor and we completely appreciate his expertise and honesty. Love that he will often talk us out of the more costly dental procedures and only recommend what is in our best interest. So glad we found Jeff!

I can not say enough about this teams talent, professionalism and care. I have been seeing Dr. Fruin on and off for ten years and am so blessed to have his outstanding skills. Dr Jeff Fruin is hands down the BEST dentist in Encinitas Carlsbad area, if not San Diego! He is also the most gentle dentist I've ever been to. My children love him as well and are not fearful of "going to the dentist" anymore. He always makes them laugh too. I recently had a top frontal side by side crown and veneer done by him. They are the most perfect flawless front teeth and I couldn't have been more satisfied. All due to his patience, precision and perfection that he dedicates to every patient. The entire office and assistant staff are wonderful and kind and very helpful in all situations. I am so happy to have finally found an exceptional dentist and I highly recommend him to all. This place is a winner!!

i was referred here by my friend who works with insurance coverage companies. she and have been going through several dentists, just to find one who doesn't pad their billing with secret procedures that you "needed", but weren't told you needed them. his staff efficiently checked me, and i immediately went back with the xray tech. i declined xrays, i had had them every year for the last 10 years, and finally decided i'd rather not get irradiated when i have had perfect teeth, no issues (lucky dog me). she was young, and little discombobulated about me declining (not sure she knew what to do), but finally sent the dental hygienist in. she was lovely, talkative, interesting convo. she cleaned my teeth very thoroughly, and was strong enough, but gentle. then, a big burly bear like guy comes in, very deep voice, very pleasant, and making jokes....dr. fruin. very sweet and funny. he was ok with me not getting xrays, and suggested to wait on getting invisalign (told my teeth were shifting from previous dentist, and they wanted to charge me $6000 for this). dr. fruin said it is mild, and to wait for a few years, which i appreciated. overall, dr. fruin and staff were very honest. it was a clean facility. i enjoyed seeing him, and having a good experience.

We love Dr. Fruin. My husband and I have gone to him for several years, and today I took my kids (aged 9 and 10), who had previously gone to a local children's dentist. My kids had the best dental experience EVER with Dr. Fruin. He is so fun, honest and professional. He does not do unnecessary procedures and gives you the straight scoop on whether something is necessary. I highly recommend Dr. Fruin.

Recently moved to the neighborhood and finally needed to replace my dentist in Orange County (I loved her so much I traveled to see her the past year!). I was able to get an appointment for a cleaning the same week I called as they had a cancellation. Hygienist was really sweet and did a great job. She said she's worked with Dr. Fruit for the past couple years and compared to some dentists she has worked for, he's honest and will never be the dentist who just tries to make money off his patients. And most importantly, Dr. Fruin lives up to the hype! He was super nice and I can tell that if I actually needed more than a checkup I could trust him to be honest.

I have been seeing Dr. Fruin for several years. I highly recommend him and his office. Connie the hygienist is THE BEST!!

I love this dentist! Having spent several years in a variety of other practices in the area, he is hands down the best. No upselling in the chair -- just competent, friendly service. What triggered me to write, however, was really excellent service we received this week. My husband lost a crown, called, and was in the chair within an hour and a half. And instead of selling him a new crown, Dr Fruin fixed the old one. Then I called yesterday afternoon with a toothache and was seen this morning. If you like old school, good customer service combined with the latest dental skills and technology, this place is for you.

I love love love this dentist! I was told by another dentist that my cap would cost several thousand dollars to fix. I saw him the next morning from a referral for a consultation. He spent an hour and half with me and fixed it that same morning for $127.00. I am so impressed with him and his staff I have reccomended him to everyone. He is "Old School" and cares about the paitient. Wow all I can say is "I hit the jackpot"
