Overall great experience! The office is modern and clean, the staff professional yet friendly. I got my crown done in one visit because this office had the equipment to make the crown on site (I even got to watch it being made). It's obvious Dr. Tsang has a lot of experience under his belt. I felt absolutely no pain and at one point almost fell asleep I was so relaxed. I am absolutely satisfied with the results! I highly recommend this place.

Dr. Tsang was actually covering emergencies for my regular dentist whom I've seen for 24 years! From the moment I called Dr. Tsang late on a Friday evening to the moment I left their office Saturday morning; I was treated with kindness, caring and such professionalism. I'm not even his regular patient and he spent so much time and care taking care of my emergency dental needs. Thank you so much! I know where I'll be going when my dentist decides to retire!

I love this office! They are always so nice and I love that they love using new technologies. We just moved to Manhattan Beach, but we'll make the drive because we love visiting this office so much!

I seriously can't say enough good things about this dentist and really the entire office staff! Really kind, caring people who take their time giving you the special attention you require. Dr.Tsang always seems competent in his work and makes the effort to sit and explain any work he's going to do before he begins which really helps to make me feel comfortable in his dentist chair. Also a big plus is that you get to watch TV shows of your choice(Netflix, etc.) with headphones on during your visit and it's nice and distracting so that you don't have to listen to the sounds of the drilling and suction sounds during any procedure you're enduring). Getting your teeth worked on isn't the most pleasant experience, but the entire staff at Modern Dentistry really comes together to help make my time spent there as enjoyable as possible considering. :)

Just had my teeth cleaned by Dr. Tsang, and it looks like I've found a new dentist! I've had bad experiences with other dentists and just recently switched to a new one. However, in order to get my teeth cleaned, my HMO dentist required two appointments (which is a waste of time). Luckily, I also have PPO so my options were open. Needing a new one ASAP who can get me in and clean my teeth same day, I turned to yelp. I made one quick phone call and was able to get an appointment in the next morning, which worked out perfectly! I'm very picky with dentists because I've had so many bad or shady ones in the past. However, my appointment with Dr. Tsang was great from beginning to end. He never tried to up sell me on any work. I even tried to ask about my old fillings and he was very informative so I can make my own decisions. His staff was also very friendly. Overall, great experience!

Irvine Modern Dentistry Jerome J. Tsang, DDS The dental care I recently received from Dr. Jerome J. Tsang and the entire staff at Irvine Modern Dentistry far exceeded my highest expectations. Dr. Tsang's knowledge of the latest techniques, his skills, and the high standards he set for himself were amazing. Dr. Tsang has a very pleasant, caring manner, and he took his time explaining my options. I was amazed that he numbed the area he would be treating with far less pain than I had experienced in the past. He was concerned with making the work as comfortable as possible during the entire visit. Needless to say, I felt very fortunate to have "found" Dr. Tsang! Dr. Tsang's staff has also been very remarkable. Every staff member greeted me with a smile during each visit and was pleasant and knowledgeable. Staff members described what I saw on pictures and explained procedures before they began every job. Knowing that I needed to minimize x-ray exposure, the staff member who took the x-ray explained that, if I could try to use the mouthpiece that was large for my mouth, I could have one, rather than two, x-rays. I know it's rare to work with a staff that offers such personalized service - with smiles! I can't say enough about the care and quality of Dr. Tsang and the total staff!

I have been looking for a permanent dentist, for me and my son for a number of years to replace our previous dentist who sadly passed away. Dr Tsang/Irvine Modern Dentistry was recommended by an oral surgeon. My dental office search is over!! 1st contact - spoke to Phary - excellent communication skills- very professional, answered my questions politely and professionally. I never felt rushed. Always courteous , quick response-email, insurance verification. Dr Tsang - TRUSTWORTHY and very HIGH ETHICAL standards (very rare and important) great personality, intelligent, gentle (no pain) and very thorough and conservative approach with impressive educational background. I got the impression and comfort level that his priority is actually to look out for his patient's oral health wellness. I needed to start with deep cleaning/root planing and scaling. I have to say that WENDY -hygienist /gave me the BEST cleaning i've ever had!! it was painless - considering needed a real DEEP cleaning, literally. She was soft spoken, extremely gentle, very thorough gave me advil after the first 2 quadrants, she anticipated pain when numbness wears off and told me to take another 2 before going to bed- which i didn't do. Surprisingly, i had no pain whatsoever.

Best dental experience EVER! Patti the hygienist who took care of me was so kind and gentle. All of the staff was just as kind and patient as could be. The doctor was very thorough, and good at explaining what was going on and what needed to take place. I've always hated going to the dentist, but now I'm actually looking forward to going back.

Have had issues with a couple of dentist over the past 15 years. Most try to upsell you some other packages. Here, I felt comfortable from the beginning. Prices are very fair, staff is friendly and Dr Tsang is the most patient and caring dentist that I have had in a long while. After spending four hours in a chair getting new crowns that were made right there (watching Netflix of course), his humor and his compassion were still there. At no time did I feel that he was not on my side. I will convert all my family members to start going to Dr Tsang.

I've been coming here for, gosh, quite a few years now! I highly recommend it here. Both the staff and Dr. Tsang are really welcoming and nice. I love how clean and modern the office is. Their devices are the latest and greatest. They have coffee/tea/water and snacks available while you wait (which you usually don't have to wait very long at all). You also get a dental goody bag on your way out also - with a new toothbrush, floss, etc. I've recommended Irvine Modern Dentistry to my family and friends and they are a fan too!

Not even sure where to begin but I have to tell you about Irvine Modern Dentistry. I have the BIGGEST fear of the dentist of anyone that I've ever met. I literally cry, shake, and panic when I'm on the way to see the dentist. Needless to say I only go when I have pain which means when I do end up going I have a series of issues and dental work that needs to be done. I went to IMD after my husband forced me to because it had been years since my last visit (& we moved counties). I had many many things that needed to be fixed and I was terrified. DR TSANG AND HIS AMAZING TEAM MADE EVERYTHING SO EASY, PAIN FREE, AND ALMOST KIND OF FUN (because of the endless hours of Netflix shows I watched in that chair) He has all the newest high end equipment and this dentist office is unlike any other I've ever been to. Even the numbing shot happens with his magical machine where you don't even feel a pinch! It's so clean and modern. In a beautiful location, free parking, great views. Dentistry really isn't what it used to be and when you go to IMD and it's honestly nothing to be afraid of. Take it from me! But the real reason for this review is because everyone in this office ACTUALLY CARES about your comfort level, your teeth, and making sure you have a good experience! I wish all my doctors were like Dr. Tsang!

Came to Irvine Modern Dentistry for the first time today and loved my experience! Location: Nice medical plaza in Irvine near Sand Canyon, 3rd Floor Parking: Free and aplenty Ambiance: Quiet and Peaceful Insurance: Takes multiple types of insurances, I have Cigna PPO, so preventative services were $0 (check your dental plan) Perks: Free coffee, water, snacks in the waiting room Wait Time: Minimal The people who work here are kind and patient. My appointment began with a tour, which I am definitely not used to from my previous dentist. They showed me the consultation office, treatment chairs, restroom location, and equipment sterilization area. They have a needleless anesthesia, as well as cameras and fancy X-ray machines. You can watch netflix or listen to pandora during appointments, and overall the office is clean and neat. I had my check-up and teeth cleaning today. Although I am cavity free (YAY!), Dr Tsang noticed two of my previous fillings that have a slight gap, creating a plaque trap, and potential for future cavity, so he suggested re-doing those. The dental assistant also recommended a high flouride gel that I've been meaning to try out. The dentist showed me real time pictures of my teeth as well as all of the X-rays which was such a treat.

Beyond spectacular! Dr. Tsang and his staff are the most caring, considerate, friendly, and skilled professionals I've had the pleasure of doing business with. I had to have my very first crown and they made what would have been a traumatic and difficult experience one of reassurance and excellent results. Friends cannot discern that my tooth is now a crown - it matches perfectly. Complete stealth. Their high tech approach to dentistry is incredible and the results speak for themselves. I cannot recommend this office highly enough.

I've been going here for a few years now for routine cleanings and x-rays and never have any complaints. The office is very clean, staff is friendly, professional and they keep their appointments (no waiting). Scheduling and rescheduling of appointments is easy and I've never had any issues with insurance with Irvine Modern Dentistry. I've been to another office where the lead dentists were very disrespectful of their hygienists which created a toxic, error-prone environment for patients and staff. Additionally, the other place always tried to sell me their custom toothpastes, toothbrushes and other items which I had zero interest in buying. Thankfully, I'm not seeing any of these things at this place!

By far the best experience I've had at the dentist. Very friendly service and Dr. Tsang made sure I was comfortable the entire time I was there. Also they have some state of the art equipment that I've never even seen before. Would recommend to anyone who is afraid of going to see a dentist.

finally a dentistry that i don't mind coming back to! i've been to modern dentistry twice and reasons i will keep coming back: 1) friendly staff: dr. tsang and staff are all really nice. 2) cleanliness / technology: love that they offer patients personal tv screen for pandora / netflix access. i also love all the new anethesia technology i've never seen before. and the facility is really clean. 3) treatment proposal / pricing disclosure: after my first visit i was given a price breakdown of how much i was expected to spend post-deduction. it allows me to get an idea of how much i would have to budget for and what not... so that i don't get hit by a bill that's not manageable. and i must say, the pricing are reasonable. 4) ease of scheduling appt: i am able to do everything via e-mail, which i like. i hate having to pick up a phone to make appointments when email leaves paper trail and confirmations. and they're really good about getting back to you within a short time. i did have to wait 30 min after my appt for my teeth cleaning to begin, but they got me out at a reasonable amount of time to return to work! so make sure you ask how long your procedure is going to take so you can manage your time effectively. and always helpful to let them know you are on a time crunch! i also love all the snacks available post-treatment :) so happy to find an awesome dentistry right in my backyard!

Very professional and friendly. I know most of us don't look forward to a dental visit but Irvine Modern Dentistry makes it a pleasant visit. The people working there do an excellent job of explaining what/why they are doing what they're doing. Preventive measures I should do on my own for my teeth and more importantly any work that is outside of insurance coverage. A great experience and will definitely recommend to friends and co-workers.
