Such a wonderful, caring group of professionals! I have been a patient here for over 15 years and not just because they were only five minutes from my home. After moving to Dallas last year, I have remained a loyal patient of this practice even though it's a 35 minute drive. They are worth it!

My dental Hygenist was great. Did a really good job at cleaning! I saw 2 dentist as Dr. Horton was available to administer the anesthesia while Dr. Hatchet was still with another patient. Dr. Horton technique was really good, didn't feel much pain. Dr Hatcher did my fillings and she was very detail and attentive. No one tried to up-sell me any extra service. The dental assistants were very nice. Front desk receptionist were nice. I didn't have any problems there. I would recommend this place!

I am not a huge fan of dental visits, but I have always had consistently good experiences with Sandy Lake Dental & Orthodontics. Everyone on staff is friendly and efficient. I've never had to wait more than a few minutes for my appointment, the costs are explained clearly and in advance, and the professionalism of the staff is always evident. Even those procedures that are less than pleasant are carried out with a calm and low-key manner, which greatly relaxes this otherwise anxious dental patient. My whole family gets their dental care here - it's the best office we've ever found. Highly recommended.

My husband and I had to change dentist due to a job change. I chose Sandy Lake Dental because I live in Coppell and like to support businesses in the city I live. My phone call was answered immediately and they were able to get both of us in the same week that I called. The hygenist was friendly and did an excellent job. The dentist came in and spoke with me, answered my questions and then we talked about our families for a few moments. I will go back and felt like I was treated 'like family'. Would highly recommend to family and friends. The doctor that I saw is also the owner and served our country...a 'twofer' as far as I'm concerned! Support local businesses!!

Never have I had an experience at a dental office like I had at Sandy lake dental. First off my initial phone call was answered by the most enthusiastic, caring employee. She answered all my questions and scheduled my appointment with ease. Not only are they opened later than normal offices they're also opened on Saturdays, something that is invaluable for a teacher like me. Once I arrived to my appointment I was greeted by a beautiful smile, and was brought back for my appointment right on time. Michelle is the hygienist that cleaned my teeth, she was so gentle and gave me great advice on what products would be beneficial for me at home. Unfortunately I had a cavity, but it turned out to be no big deal! Not only did they get me rescheduled right away, Dr. Horton was so fast and efficient I was in and out. It was almost like a relaxing break from my busy day! It was such a wonderful experience I will continue to come back to Sandy Lake dental and will recommend them to all my friends and family.

I have going to SLD for a long time now. It has changed hands during this period, but the doctors/hygienists are impeccable and helpful. Dr. Horton is the best there is! Most importantly the facility is really good with no outside need on all your dental work!!

I must say this was the most comfortable dentist office I may ever experience. The waiting room is homey, the rooms are cozy with good-feel artwork, and the staff is absolutely top of the line! They listened to me intently and were more than motivated to accommodate me to ensure i was comfortable. Had a tooth extracted and felt almost zero pain afterwards. NOW THAT'S SOME HIGH QUALITY WORK. LOVE! Dr Horton and his staff! nicole is one of the nicest people to work with. you can tell that your care and comfort are important to her. she would stop during my deep cleaning to make sure i was doing well. Everything was explained well each time. when i got my wisdom teeth pulled (all at the same time) i needed to hurry and use my flex pay card before the yr was up..dr wilhemson (not there now and spelt wrong) came in on her day OFF sacrificing her weekend to do my procedure so i could afford it! then when i got food stuck in the hole after she gave me her private # to call and make sure i was properly cleaning and treating it! how awesome!?!?! seriously! great place!

I haven't been to the dentist in over a decade and had to get a cleaning before getting braces next door. Lacy was so sweet and very gentle with my cleaning. She explained every tool before she used it and told me exactly what I should expect before each step. I was nervous and she kept me at ease throughout the entire process. The office was clean and the ladies at the front desk are pleasant each time I come in. My mother also attends and she has been pleased with the work she's had done over the years.

I am not a fan of going to the dentist and had not been in 5-6 years (don't judge) but finally I decided to go in and have my mouth tortured. To my surprise I had a great experience. Nicole (dental hygienist) was awesome. She took great care not to cause me any pain and made sure I was comfortable. She even chatted with me and responded to my garbled conversation and nervous babbling. If you want to keep your teeth in tip top shape use these people and ask for Nicole! I'll be back in 6 months.

I don't mind the dentist and never had. I had a great experience with their staff, the hygienist and the dentist. I saw Dr. Horton and he was incredibly kind and concerned about my comfort. Their office is clean, nice and possibly newly remodeled which makes for a great first impression. My husband HATES the dentist. You have to bribe him like a child to go. So any dentist that can get my husband to sit in their chair and then after the visit say "that wasn't so bad" should get TEN stars in book!

To say this place is AMAZING would be an understatement, and yes, I am talking about a dental office. Personally, I have seen my share of a variety of Dentists over my years, but I can honestly say I have now found my family's new Dental Home for life!!!!! Dr. Horton and his entire staff are great from the moment you walk in the door. Everyone is so friendly and the waiting area is beautifully decorated almost even relaxing in a way, although I have never had to wait more than maybe a minute or two. Laci, my hygienist is absolutely wonderful!!! She really goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable in a maybe not so comfortable situation. ;-) You can always count on her to greet you with a smile and a pleasant conversation. Dr. Horton is by far the best dentist I have ever seen in my entire life. I did not even so much as feel a pinch when he numbed me, (3 separate visits now.) Again, I feel as if him and his assistants also make it their priority to ensure you are comfortable. To me, they have really set the bar. I could not be more happier with the quality of his work and his staff all the way around. I can honestly say, my teeth and smile look and feel better than they have in YEARS!!!!! So if you are looking for a new dental home, I promise that you won't be disappointed, and maybe even feel a little like me; soooo Happy to have been blessed with finding this place!!!!

This was my best experience at a dental orifice in the whole state of Texas. I've been around and this one is the actual best. Dr. Shad Hattaway filled several of my cavities, he made me very comfortable, was very thorough and explained everything he was doing while he was doing it. My respect is hard to win but Dr. Hattaway was so knowledgable and friendly that I felt like I could trust him as a professional and connect with him as a human. Great person, great practice, yes, yes, yes.

They are professional, effective and efficient. I am having extensive work done. They are very considerate of any level of pain I may have. I have been given options of how to proceed depending on financial considerations. All dentists seem to be very expensive to me anymore. And in this way they are no different than any other.

I took my daughter to this office after she fell and knocked her front teeth pretty hard. The woman who answered the phone was friendly, helpful and accommodating. They got us in quickly and Dr Horton and his assistant took great care of her. She did great because they were great with her and made the whole experience as comfortable for her as they possibly could. She even said she wanted to go back again after we left! I will continue to refer my friends and coworkers to them!
