i had a tooth pulled, a bone graft, and an implant. all around, dr. luque and his staff are amazing! there were a few delays in my appointment times due to other patients but the no-more-than-1-hour-delay-each-time was all worth it. aracely was spot on about my insurance and the treatment was flawless. luque is hilarious. it's been over a year since the extraction, and 11 months since the implant. all great! yay!

I was in the office for a consultation the same day I called and had the extraction booked for the very next day. I was so nervous, but Dr. Luque was sweet, knowledgable, and made me feel safe. GO HERE. Dr. Luque is incredibly careful, friendly, trustworthy, and also hilarious. Highly highly recommended. His staff are also very caring and easy to communicate with. I had been a little nervous about the surgery because one of the teeth was very very close to a nerve, so it was a huge relief to have found such a trustworthy and supportive oral surgeon. I just had all 4 wisdom teeth extracted yesterday and am in minimal pain, already out and about and doing my normal activities.

My experience with Juan was better than I could have expected. I had never had anesthesia before, so I was terrified about the experience. Juan reassured me ad nauseum before injecting the medications. The extraction process was quick, and I recovered my full consciousness within 30 minutes of the procedure. They prescribed an appropriate amount of medication which they then handed to me (saved me a trip to the pharmacy) and promptly scheduled a follow up.

I'm so grateful to these folks. My extra-poor communicating dentists' office didn't send over my paperwork in time for my consultation, but the Faces of the Mission staff are great and held onto my extraction time so that I could get the necessary paperwork and still get things in on schedule. My surgery went off without a hitch, and the extraction and office team both were great at keeping me feeling comfortable and cared for. I was so relieved, it turned out to be way less scary than I'd thought. I have Cigna DHMO, and this team worked great for me!

I had never imagined having dental implants, and reading online articles about it and reviews of oral surgeons overwhelmed me. After visiting two other oral surgeons, I met Dr. Luque. Aside from his friendly deposition, he has 3d image systems for explaining things clearly: he is on Mission st: his estimate was most reasonable. I have done 4 implants by him total, and so far they are good. One and only complaint I have is that waiting time after my appointment. Sometimes 30 minutes, one time was 50 min wait for 5 minute check up

Got 3 wisdom teeth pulled yesterday and a crown from my wisdom tooth cut off ( it was impacted and also in my nerves and they couldn't pull it or it was cause permanent nerve damage) and I actually feel okay, a little painful but okay I can eat ,talk and also no swelling . The team did a wonderful job. I was so nervous and fidgety because I was getting put to sleep but as soon as the needle poked me I was out and woke up a few mins later numb and on cloud 9 . As soon as my husband and I walked in for his wisdom teeth extraction, we immediately felt at home. All of the staff are warm, great with people, and kept us laughing. They also took the time to ask good questions and show care for us as people. Gave clear explanations of my husband's situation, treatment options, and pricing, making us feel able to make decisions we were comfortable with and clearly understood. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Luque and his staff. I first met with him back in 2013 to discuss an implant for my front tooth. I was really anxious to get the process started, but Dr. Luque reassured me that he would do everything he could to make sure my implant looked as natural as possible. I had 4 extractions, some bone grafting, gum tissue grafting, and an implant all done by Dr. Luque (3 surgeries in total). Pain was always easy to control and I never had any complications. After 2 years and several visit to his office, I really got to know Dr. Luque and his staff very well. Aside from being professional, they are all really wonderful people. Dr. Luque accomplished the goal to restore my smile in time for my wedding this year. It's such a great feeling knowing I no longer have to hide my teeth or feel self-conscious. FANTASTIC!! I got all four of my wisdom teeth pulled. I was so scared because I really hate the dentist. I chose to get put to sleep. When I woke up, it was all over! No pain at all! Minimal swelling that went down super quickly. Loved the doctor he was kind and funny, made me feel comfortable. Overall, I had a great experience.

My name is Keresoma and I just finished with a visit at Faces of the Mission and I must say I was very impressed. Not only were the staff knowledgeable but, Dr. Juan F. Luque DDS, MD is a very solid Guy. After watching the 20 minute video on Wisdom Teeth I was nervous. Dr. Luque came in and really eased my anxiety. The equipment in his practice is very up to date as well as state of the art. I would recommend any of my friends and family members there if they needed Dental Surgery of any sort.

Finding this place was like an early Christmas miracle! No joke, this place is staffed my a bunch of angels. I am terrified of dental work and found myself in a situation where I needed to see an oral surgeon before my insurance became active in January. Literally every other office I contacted over a span of two weeks was either unwilling to help me, or wanted to charge me twice what this office quoted me because of my lack of current insurance. From my first call to this office, everyone I spoke to was so kind and understanding of my situation and willing to help in any way they could. Not only that, but on the day of my procedure I was so relieved to find that Dr. Luque was very sensitive to my severe anxieties, never made me feel like my feelings were invalid, and did everything possible to make sure my experience was as painless and trauma free as it could be. What I expected to be a difficult procedure took minutes, and since then I have had basically no pain or swelling whatsoever. I can't recommend this office enough! I enjoy having teeth. They are really useful! They've been really good to me. All the masticating I've done in my life, they've always been there, all 32 of them. So you can imagine my utter devastation when efforts to save one of my premolars didn't work and I received word from my dentist that I would need an extraction and implant. Dr. Luque helped me say farewell to that tooth with speed, efficiency, kindness and persistence. That tooth wasn't an easy extraction. It wanted to stay with me. I wanted to stay with it. With laser focus and battle-ready efficiency Dr. L broke, poked, drilled, cracked and prodded until every last piece was removed. Dissociating from the discomfort, I drifted away to a tropical island, maybe like that Dr. L told me he visited on his recent vacation, all the while listening to the soothing coos of Julieta Venegas and unfamiliar tropical rhythms playing in his office. After approx. 30min, with a mouthful of gauze, staring at the splintered, bloody fragments of my tooth on the tray, I was saddened but relieved. Farewell tooth, thank you for everything! And thanks Dr. Luque and his staff for making the procedure as smooth as possible.

They are incredibly kind and made feel comfortable as I was getting many teeth removed. I am usually afraid of surgery (who isn't?) but they mad me feel at ease with their kindness and gentle handling of me. Thanks guys

Dr. Luque and his staff are amazing. I went in for a consultation with my brother because it was time to take our wisdom teeth out. First, we had to full out medical forms which you could do on their computer or by hand on paper. Next, we went in the room to answer a couple more questions and watched a brief education video clip on wisdom teeth. I forgot the lady's name with the curly hair and glasses, but she is terrific! She's so welcoming, friendly and has a great sense of humor. Afterwards, Dr. Luque popped in to examine our teeth and told us that we both had impacted wisdom teeth and that we had the option to be awake or put to sleep during the procedure. Without a doubt we both agreed that we didn't want to be awake for any of this! Although it's a bit hard to understand Dr. Luque because he has an accent and talks pretty fast, he gave us the impression that he knew what he was doing. I needed both my bottom wisdom teeth extracted, one was peeped out and the other was underneath the gum-meaning no sign of the tooth. On the day of our oral surgery, Dr. Luque and his staff were prepared. I made sure not to eat hours before the surgery (not even water!) and they hooked an IV to my arm. I was really nervous and terrified about what could go wrong, but Dr. Luque assured me that everything would be okay. About 1-2 hours later, when I was "awake", my mouth was filled with cotton pads. Because of the numbing, I didn't feel much pain. A couple of hours went by and it began to hurt a little, but not as much as I thought it would. In fact, the pain level from 1-10, 1 being no pain and 10 being the worst pain, I felt about a 6. Just as the lady told me, the pain would begin on the 5th or 6th day, but still it was about a 6. After 2 weeks from my oral surgery, I was ready to eat normal foods without worrying. When we came back to get checked up, everything was looking great. The stitches were gone and the holes have closed. Dr. Luque is such a friendly dentist. He made my worst fear into a comfortable procedure. I highly recommend Dr. Luque for a wisdom teeth extraction. Super funny guy!

I looked on Yelp to find an oral surgeon to remove my wisdom teeth and I am so glad I did. Dr. Luque and his entire staff were friendly and professional and made me feel completely comfortable from the initial appointment, to the removal and follow up. I found Dr. Luque from his great Yelp reviews and I now know they're all legit. I had 4 wisdom teeth pulled last Saturday and, besides the soft food diet, you'd never know I just had an invasive surgery. I have had zero swelling, even on the day of my surgery, and I felt well enough to go kayaking the very next day. I've been very careful to follow all of my post-op instructions, including taking Ibuprofen every 4 hours, and that may be why I'm healing so fast, but I truly believe Dr. Luque and his team just do a great job of really taking care of their patients. Upon arrival, I was given gas and an IV sedation and when I woke up an hour later (felt like seconds later) I had no idea I'd even had the surgery. At no point after my surgery was I in any pain, mild jaw discomfort maybe, but that was alleviated by icing it the first few hours. Highly recommend Dr. Luque and his team! I'm so happy I found them!
