I've been a patient since 1996; I don't plan on looking for a new dentist anytime soon. Both Dr. Shek (Clement and Justin) alongside all the associates are extremely friendly, professional, and amiable. Every check-up has been very thorough where they don't try to cut any corners just so they can finish their job faster. They are very good at what they practice and I highly recommend them.

I feel so fortunate to have found Dr. Shek. He is the most accomplished dentist ever!! He knows exactly what he is doing and takes the time to explain the process so that you understand exactly what is happening. He is not in a rush to get the job done. He is precise and gentle. He is truly amazing. I've been to so many dentists and wish I found him along time ago as I would not have had so many root canals and crowns.

Well, I can honestly say I found the dental team for me. Dr. Wong has proven to be the best. I'm blown away by the entire experience. Just came out. No soreness, no numbness, no regrets. Just a bit of topical, my earphones, and I'm a happy camper. Everyone in the office is professional, efficient, and friendly. Five stars (or more) for this well run machine.

I really can't believe I'm going to say this but here goes: I actually had a (relatively) - pleasant - experience getting a crown. Yeah, I just said that. Getting your teeth drilled sucks, no doubt, and a lot of anxiety goes before the procedure. Truth be told, I just about bailed. I hate the injection part. Really hate it. Everything after that is like getting my teeth cleaned because my mouth is as dead as a doornail but the shot sucks. That said, Justin Shek, knows how to do the injection right. Get in, get out, it's done, no big deal. All that followed was, as we say, PFM (pure .. magic). Sort of felt like I was in some sci-fi movie. Digital imaging followed by a on-site, digital milling of the porcelain. Unreal. Fascinating. Highly, highly recommended. Justin is a pro - all the way.

Been coming here for years. New office is really nice as it's very modern and super clean. They get me in and out quickly with high quality care. Unlike other places they aren't just out to make a quick buck - they actually have a much longer term approach and care about doing what is right.

As someone who has had much work done, I have been totally impressed with Dr. Shek - he's done really tough jobs on me... all painlessly and quickly, and with great bedside manner. Most of all, he's been able to save me some grief/pain that other dentists would not have been able to....also equally impressed with the high tech systems he's got going on.

I have gone to a few other dentist in San Francisco, but Dr. Shek has by far given the best care and treatment on my teeth. When I walked in the office, all the staff were very professional and friendly and the office is state-of-the-art. I would recommend this practice to all of my friends - you won't need to find another dentist after meeting Dr. Shek, his associates and staff.

I have been going to Justin Shek's for almost 20 years and saw Justin's Dad who is also a dentist when I was little. I drive an hour and a half from Santa Cruz just so I can go here. They do great regular checkups and this is the only place I trust to do my fillings. Melissa at reception has been there as long as I can remember, and always calls me when it is time for me to come in for a cleaning, which I appreciate as this is the kind of thing I easily forget. The office sends me text reminders about upcoming appointments and they call to confirm. A nice, newly remodeled office right across from Laurel Village. Thank you for being my trusted dentist for so many years!

I highly recommend this dental practice! The office is clean and organized, and the entire staff is friendly, professional, and caring. They patiently explain everything to you -- from the X-ray results to each procedure being performed while it is occurring -- and do their best to ensure you feel comfortable throughout the process. Dr. Justin Shek has worked on my teeth a few times within the last 7 years and wow...truly...he is highly skilled and extremely thorough at what he does. He doesn't rush or cut corners on anything and ensures he completes A++ dental work when you're his patient. This practice shows you they value your patronage!

Check this: Dr. Chen has a twin that also works there! Kinda trippy. They're both super friendly, very accommodating and gentle. Don't miss your appointment though, it's a $95 charge.

So fortunate to have been coming to Dr. Shek and associates for the pass 8 years. Knowledgeable friendly staff in the front desk to help you with insurance questions to dental assistants taking your x-rays. The team are the best professionals to work and make our dental visit a pleasant one. My husband had his wisdom tooth taken out by Dr. Shek and it went well. He told me Dr. Shek was very thorough of what he would do so he wasn't too nervous during the procedure. Also, informative for the in home post care. He is truly outstanding! Another reason I enjoy coming here is to see Dr. Wong. She does a fantastic checkup and cleaning. She made sure all of my old fillings are either being replace or keep an eye on. She also point out and show me the proper way to use the floss because I've been making slits marks on my gums. Which I didn't realize I've been so rough jabbing the floss into it. Overall we look forward to our routine checkup and cleaning every 2 times a year. Thank you!

I came as an emergency appointment after experiencing searing pain coming from one my back teeth. Dr. Justin Shek fit me in right away for consultation, and was quick and informative. After being warned that my tooth may not be able to be saved by a root canal due to its bad shape, I was completely relieved that Dr. Shek was able to work his magic during the procedure and save it! No extraction and implants for me...yet! Not only is he professional and extremely nice, he's also amazing at what he does. Highly recommended!!

Dr. Shek is, simply put, a great dentist. He has the technical knowledge you'd expect from a UCSF professor, seasoned by lots of practical experience, plus great communication skills. He always treats me with respect and tells me clearly about anything that is wring or anything I should do. Dr. Shek is also a great team builder - the supporting cast of other dentists and assistants in his office are all first-rate (and, of course, we love Melissa like everybody else does!).

Dr. Shek is truly the best dentist I have ever seen in my life. And I'm 41. He's got a bedside manner that should be emulated by all medical professionals. He's incredibly gifted at making teeth issues go away and I feel truly lucky to be on his patient roster. Not sure what else there is to say. I will never see another dentist again.

Both Dr. Sheks and all of the associates in the office are the best. You will find that everyone, including the dental assistants and office staff, truly cares about you and your oral health. They will take the time to get to know every patient which creates a very welcoming and comfortable environment as soon as you walk through the door. The dentists also take the time to explain the procedure so the patient thoroughly understands what is happening. The dental assistants pay very close attention to detail in order to make your visit as smooth and comfortable as possible. The office manager and front desk staff handles all the appointment scheduling reminders and insurance processing which makes it easy for the patient. Dr. Justin Shek specializes in Prosthedontics, which I highly recommend if you are looking for a specialist in implants.

love dr justin shek and dr chen. i was referred here by a friend many years ago, changed my dental insurance and sadly had to go to a different dentist....moved from the city and then recently came back have had 4 different horrible dental experiences these last years......now i have a .new job, new insurance and i found myself back in their chair ! Called them after not seeing them for 5 years and they totally remembered me & got me in that week...... Very cool staff, they love to talk you through everything that is happening...no surprises, just had a cleaning and it was the easiest one i have ever had !

I've been coming to Dr. Shek's office for over 30 years. Melissa at the front desk is extremely efficient. I never have a problem with scheduling an appointment and she handles all the insurance paperwork. The team is friendly and professional. I've never had any issues with my dental work.

Both Dr. Shek's (dad and son) are amazing. They are open on Saturdays. They are very flexible with your schedules. The receptionist/dental assistant on the weekends is super friendly and very professional. I first had dad 6 months ago and was super impressed with his dental knowledge! This past Saturday I met Justin, his son, and again was impressed. They are thorough, know what they are doing, and are really nice to your mouth! YAY for yelp and finding good dentists in the city!
