I love going to the dentist! Dr. Ho makes the experience painless and relaxing. He explains everything clearly and listens to what I want (such as adding fluoride to the mix).

I love Dr. Ho and his amazing dentistry office. The entire staff are super friendly (I'm looking at your Enrique and Michelle!) and the entire experience is very pleasant. There are three main reasons why I like this office. 1) I feel like Dr. Ho takes a special interest in the long term care of my teeth and takes the time to explain and show me what he is doing. 2) Very fair prices for cleaning and other services. 3) Watching Netflix while getting your teeth cleaned takes all of the stress away. If you do not currently do this at your dentist office, you are missing out. I highly recommend checking them out!

I'm sad to leave San Francisco on many levels but didn't think that dentistry would make the list! Enjoyed is maybe a stretch but I really appreciated the calm, consistent and open way that I was treated as a patient of Doctor Ho. I always felt that I knew what was on the table and the actual procedures we as painless as dentally possible. He is very approachable and keeps you abreast of the procedure and if that wasn't good enough, I could always watch monkeys in India (or anything else) on the Netflix (and chill, this definitely won't hurt) that they have available. I will miss being a patient. Thank you Dr. Ho and the great team in his office.

I've been going to Dr. Ho's since he opened, I think. His whole staff is very sweet and welcoming from Michelle up front to Enrique who is the primary hygienist. While I don't think anyone really wants to get their teeth scratched at every 6 months, this office will make it pleasant as they do so. You can watch Netflix on the TV. The dentist is very accommodating for emergencies and does good work at keep your mouth in order!

FINALLY! A dentist that I actually want to AND LOOK FORWARD to visiting! Gone are the dreaded mornings where you know you have to go to the dentist. When I have an appointment with Dr. Ho, I jump out of bed and smile! Dr. Ho makes seeing the dentist as painless and relaxing as can be. I found him through all you lovely Yelpers who have left glowing reviews for him. I have had both Aetna & Delta Dental Insurance while a patient at this office. Let me walk you through a visit to Van Ness Dentist: First, you ring the doorbell and the kindest woman opens the door. That's Michelle, the front desk receptionist, and also Dr. Ho's wife. She will check you in and ensure you that your insurance is good to go. Michelle is super on top of it. When my insurance changed, instead of having me call them to check, she went ahead and called the insurance company herself and navigated the 30+min hold time just to verify all of my info. Next, you sit down in a massage chair while you wait. One of those times where you actually wish for a longer waiting time! Then, someone comes and brings you in. For me, it's usually Enrique the hygenist-the most gentle and cheerful person in the world. He will lead you to your seat and take your bags & jacket for you to set aside. He asks you how your day is and other short pleasantries before he asks you about any tooth pain and medical history. After the important stuff is over, he turns Netflix on and asks you what you want to watch! He gives you a pair of headphones and goes to work while you watch your favorite movie or tv show. For the next 30 minutes, you can barely feel anything as Enrique cleans your teeth. He has a very gentle, yet thorough touch! But as for me, I decided it was a good idea to watch "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" so now I'm on the verge of spitting plaque and water all over the place as I try to keep my mouth open and stifle my laughter. Oops.. After the cleaning is done, Enrique turns Netflix off so you can rinse your mouth. Then Dr. Ho comes over. If this is not your first time in the office, Dr. Ho will remember everything you talked about from your previous trip-even if it was 6 months ago! He goes out of his way to build a great relationship with all his patients and is very genuine and kind. Dr. Ho will go over your x-rays and check for cavities, gum disease, and all sorts of other nasty shit our mouths and teeth love to do to us sometimes. What I love the most about Dr. Ho is that he explains EVERYTHING that he is doing and WHY he is doing it Takes away all the fear & anxiety! If all is good to go, then you get your goodie bag which contains a toothbrush, toothpaste, & floss, and head back to Michelle to set up your next appointment. Now as you leave the office, your back feels good from that massage chair, your teeth feel great from the cleaning, and you're happy to be caught up on your favorite Netflix series. People think I'm silly for enjoying going to the Dentist. But I've had so many terrible dental experiences growing up (they were mean, aggressive, impersonal, and even money-hungry. I had a previous dentist who eventually got sued for malpractice!!!), that finally having a dentist and dental office that genuinely seems like they care about you and your health is an amazing feeling. Thanks again Dr. Ho, see you again next time!

I have to echo the rest of the reviews by saying that Dr. Ho and staff are wonderful. But especially Dr. Ho. As I searched to find a good dentist on Yelp after moving to SF and not seeing one in almost 2 years, (yikes) I decided to call and make an appointment and I am so thankful I did. He makes the process smooth and is incredibly assuring, patient, and puts you at ease, especially for those who have a fear of the dentist/dental work. Getting a cavity filled was a breeze, thanks to him!

I am really really picky about my dentist because I had so many issue with other dentists here in San Francisco. I love and trust Dr Ho because he is very accurate with his recommendations. Not only that, he is caring, and always think about what is the best for my family and kids. Not like some other Dentist I have seen before who only think about making money.

More than a great dentist, Dr. Ho is an amazing person. He's thoughtful, thorough, compassionate, and intelligent, and while I never thought I'd say this about a visit to the dentist, he makes sure you won't ever dread it again.

I've been going to Dr. Ho since I moved to San Francisco last year and I must say he is an amazing dentist. He takes xrays, takes pictures , shows you exactly where the problem areas are and what he plans to work on. He discusses costs upfront , so that you know how much you are likely to pay out of pocket. And guess what while you are being treated you can watch netflix on the chair ! That way you can focus on perhaps say Breaking bad and not the cavity in your tooth ! I would surely recommend him.

Fantastic dentist. I have never had a teeth cleaning where they took so much attention to my teeth and to making sure I felt comfortable and happy. I'm almost bummed I have to wait another 6 months before going back! Thanks Dr. Ho!

What an amazing dental experience! I was in search of establishing a new dentist in SF and came across previous yelp reviews. I used their appointment request form online and the next day I received a text listing all the available dates I could book. I responded directly to the text to confirm my appointment! Derek, his assistant, was so thorough and gentle during the teeth cleaning, as I happily watched Friends episodes on their screen. No more shoulder and neck strains from fear -- it was a painless and relaxing process! Dr. Ho was welcoming and patient with my concerns. He took his time to review x-ray results and was open to answering all my questions. Happy to have found a new dentist I look forward to visiting!

I have always been terrified of the dentist, but not anymore! I can't even begin to explain what a great experience each office visit has been. Dr. Ho is a great dentist and a very kind person! He is very gentle and goes out of his way to ensure you're comfortable and not feeling any pain at any point of a procedure. He explains everything very thoroughly so you're always in the loop. Also, he gives you plenty of helpful advise and suggestions to ensure you take better care of your teeth. I also found him to be very thoughtful, as he gave me advise on how to maximize my dental benefits. Another great perk is that you get to watch Netflix, which is really awesome and makes the visit fly by. The office is very clean and the staff are very professional and extremely nice. I highly recommend Dr. Ho to anyone who is looking for a new dentist.

It's exactly such cozy and friendly dentistry you've been looking for! I visited Doctor Ho for semiannual cleaning and basic check and I felt there like at friends place. Everyone there on their own place and does great job. And be sure, the prices won't scare you :)

Extremely nice and kind dentist in an excellent location. The office is technologically advanced, they let you watch Netflix while getting your teeth cleaned and also send you text message reminders for your appointments. Michelle at the front desk and Enrique the hygienist are both also very nice! Overall a great experience.

I have been to too many dentists too many times in my life. Sad to admit that when I open my mouth, my teeth look like a construction site (a couple of root canals and crowns, and tons of fillings) and I can recognize the different dentist tools by hearing their sounds. I just came back from my 3rd appt with Dr Ho and I am continued to be super impressed by him! I wish I bypassed all of my previous dentists. These are the reasons why Dr Ho and his staff are so good at what they do. 1. Extremely kind, spends time with you to walk you through the process, calm demeanor 2. Somehow they manage to do everything without inflicting any pain. This makes me wonder, what the heck were my previous dentists doing wrong? 3. Honest. They never recommend you to get something done unless it's truly necessary. Previously I've been to so many salesy dentists who wanted me to get everything done. I also have seen the hygienist a few times and he is also amazing. He reminds me of a kind-hearted jolly Santa. He has a talent of cleaning teeth without inflicting any sensitivity and no shooting water mess.

I need a dentist in this new city of mines. Where do I turn? Yelp! I call around for a few places, and Dr. Ho won my business (actually Deltas) due to his great ratings and easy to get to location. Just off the #47 Muni line. I walk in and this place is clean. And I don't smell that dentist smell in there. Filled out some standard paper work and get whisked off to my dental chair. My hygienist was a guy from Mexico, very respectful and explained every step thoroughly. Again the exam rooms are super clean and they're actually semi private. Best feature and ingenious really - you can watch anything you want via Netflix on their 17" personal monitor above you. So come prepared knowing what you want to watch. The hygienist has to access and search via the internet. One small knock...they seem to go overboard with the xrays. They use some new tech that reduces radiation by 80%. Still. I counted 12-15 shots they took. Vs the 3 I usually take. Good place though, so if you have teeth in need of care, come here.

I moved to SF a little over a year ago and was still visiting my family dentist on the East coast. I finally decided to find someone more local, and so glad I found Dr. Ho on yelp. Every review is accurate! Michelle was so welcoming and friendly, Derek was my technician and was so polite, patient, and thorough, and lastly Dr. Ho did my final check and was incredibly thorough and informative. The office is clean and very open. They have massage chairs in the waiting area, and TV's with Netflix while you get your teeth cleaned. I highly recommend Dr. Ho and his practice!!

First time I have every gotten a cavity filled that didn't hurt! I love how friendly the staff is and are really accommodating. I wish I didn't move out of the city just for this dentist.

I just had my very first appointment for a cleaning and was very impressed. The staff was friendly and very welcoming . Derek, the dental hygienists was great and very informative . I met Dr. Ho towards the end of my visit for a summary and advice. He was very pleasant and gave good advice and for the first time , I didn't feel like the Dr. or the staff was trying to push me into anything I didn't really need . This was o e of the best experiences I've had at a dentist office . I just found my new dentist !! I highly recommend this place.

This is the dream. They have weekend appointments, let you watch Netflix, and aren't outrageously priced. Also great quality care so far. I am a very happy patient.
